Welcome to Private Feldenkrais® Workshops
The Feldenkrais Method is for anyone who wants to reconnect with his or her natural ability to move, think and feel. Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, playing with your children or grandchildren, or engaging in a sport or performance art, these gentle lessons can improve your wellbeing by teaching you to move with less effort. After experiencing a Feldenkrais lessons, many people express feelings of relaxation and ease of movement, as well as improved mental clarity and creativity.
In private Feldenkrais workshops, each lesson is tailored to your individual needs and interests. We generally recommend a minimum of four hours, which can be spread out over several days or weeks, although depending upon your unique situation, additional lessons may be necessary to experience lasting benefits. Your lessons will incorporate both of the commonly used teaching strategies employed by Feldenkrais practitioners—Awareness Through Movement® and Functional Integration®—and will include suggestions and strategies for home study. All private Feldenkrais lessons are taught by Andrea Higgins, MA, GCFP.
