Registration

The decision to enroll your child in their first dance program can be an exciting time, and we understand that you may have questions or concerns that you would like to discuss with us. To speak with the Director and Teacher of the Jump for Joy program, Andrea Higgins, please call 508-446-5538. If you wish to speak with the Coordinator of Dance at Boston University, Micki Taylor-Pinney, please call 617-353-1597. Once satisfied that the program is appropriate for your child's needs, you can complete your registration through the Boston University Online Registration System.

Guidlines

  • We require that children be potty trained.
  • Please bring your child to the bathroom before every class!
  • We require parents (or a designated guardian) to drop-off and pick-up from the classroom (220). Please be on time.
  • Parents are required to attend the first class with their child; we have a special orientation activity planned for the first day. Eventually, we want all the children to feel comfortable in the classroom on their own. This transition will take place at the teacher's discretion. Please plan to stay around for at least a few minutes at drop off time, and arrive a few minutes before pick-up.

Dress Code

  • Black, ankle length leggings or sweat pants.
  • A white t-shirt or top (any style).
  • Thin white ankle socks and ballet slippers (pink for girls, white for boys). Please have the ballet slippers fitted properly at a dancewear store, such as Capezio.
  • If girls would like to wear a short chiffon ballet skirt over their leggings they may. (Please choose one with an elastic waist band.
  • Please pull long hair up in a ponytail or bun.

♥

Elizabeth A. Merriman (1967-2009), was our most beloved sister and daughter. Her contribution to Kinesthetic Edge, as our marketing and product design advisor, can be seen and felt on these pages and reflected in the quality of our products. We loved her. We will miss her. And we will strive always to honor her memory as we carry forward.
