As a fitness professional, you are in the business of motivating clients to make healthier choices and empowering them to do so wisely. Nothing empowers an individual more that the process of learning. The Body Knowledge continuing education course introduces you to the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education. This method connects us to our ability to learn kinesthetically and, ultimately, achieve a heightened sense of kinesthetic awareness and enhanced functioning on all levels.
Incorporate the nine simple yet effective Feldenkrais teaching strategies covered in this program into the individual fitness programs or classes you design for your clients, and you will be giving them a gift that goes beyond stronger, leaner bodies. Practice of the Feldenkrais Method is known to:
- Improve balance
- Reduce chronic pain
- Increase the ability to sense and perceive the body in action and, thus enhance athletic performance
Once your clients connect to the internal strength and intelligence the Feldenkrais Method accentuates, they will value the motivation you provide more deeply. But don't just take our word for it...

Here is what a recent client is saying...
Mark was training for a marathon when he injured
his hamstring and couldn't run a half mile without pain. With just four
weeks left to train before the race date, he decided to give Feldenkrais a try after hearing about it from his Aunt Barbara (who is also a client). We received the following e-mail after his second lesson:
Ran 6 miles yesterday and felt great!! I never
realized how tight I was on my left side-so much better now. I
stretched after the run and later I did more stretching and feel myself
getting looser. Also did some foot circles and the alphabet with my
feet. My left foot is definitely better, less tight. Thanks for your
guidance and instruction. I am listening to the Podcast as I type this.
I will be running again tomorrow, today I ride the bike. I will keep
you informed of my progress.
